Joyce founded NALH in 1977 as a solo operation which has grown into one of Western Canada’s largest bookkeeping firms.  Joyce is a visionary whose keen ability to see the big picture and identify core business issues makes her a valuable partner to her clients. With more than 150 active client accounts, Joyce’s experience spans a wide range of business sizes, structures, and industries including: biotechnology, real estate, non-profit, film, wholesale, retail, and many others.

Joyce forges strong relationships with each client to understand their financial operations and business management needs at a core level. Whether the business is simple or sophisticated, large or small, Joyce helps her clients understand their financial reality and manage their organization more effectively and efficiently.

In addition to her role working with clients, Joyce also acts as a coach and mentor for the NALH staff. She fosters an open environment which encourages all team members to broaden their knowledge and to continually evolve and grow in their roles.

Joyce believes that giving back to the community is essential and she has contributed her business knowledge while serving on the board of several community and non-profit organizations. Joyce was also recently selected to participate in Distinctive Women of Canada, a group that profiles prominent Canadian businesswomen in diverse industries.

   
   
Barbara Skogg - Office Administrator & Accounting Technician BARBARA SKOGG - ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

A veteran member of our staff, Barbara brings more than 10 years of accounting experience to her role at NALH. As an Accounting Technician and QuickBooks Training Specialist, Barbara is responsible for managing bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio, including new and yearly clients, special projects and training clients in QuickBooks best practices.

Barbara’s solid background in customer service, organizational skills and extensive accounting software experience makes her a knowledgeable addition to the NALH team.  

Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Barbara continues to further her post-secondary education in administration and accounting and has recently completed the Dale Carnegie course in Effective Communications and Human Relations. Barbara and her family reside in the Vancouver area.

 

 

   
Carly H. Franklin - Marketing & IT Coordinator CARLY FRANKLIN, DipM - MARKETING & IT COORDINATOR

Having worked with NALH for a number of years as a consultant, Carly comes to the NALH team with more than 14 years experience in corporate branding, graphic design and marketing and earned her Diploma of Marketing Management at Langara College and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Business Administration. Carly is charged with spearheading NALH’s marketing efforts and maintaining a consistent presence for the company in social media.

She also manages all of NALH's internal IT resources and provides IT support for both NALH staff and its clients.

Originally a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she currently lives and works in Burnaby, BC.
